Working Pattern: Permanent /Full-Time / 37.5 hours per week / Monday – Friday + 1 in 4 Saturday shift

Salary: £17,433 per annum


Lowri Beck is looking for a Service Desk Assistant to join our Service Desk team within our IT department based (also known under their own company name – Lowri Beck Systems) based at the head office in Wigan. The successful applicant will work within the busy Service Desk team, who are the primary contact for any IT issues & queries, and support a range of Lowri Beck employees, ranging from field-based operatives using mobile devices, to office-based workers with PC’s & Laptops.


Key Accountabilities

  • Providing telephone support to Lowri Beck office and field staff regarding IT issues and queries.

  • Receiving, logging, and managing calls/tickets from the business, logging all calls in the Service Desk ticket system.

  • Escalate tickets as appropriate to the correct department.

  • Maintaining an asset database and tracking changes.


What we are looking for

  • Good standard of education (minimum GCSE level or equivalent).

  • Experience using & a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with the ability and confidence to communicate with staff at all levels of the business.

  • Previous experience working within a help desk/service desk environment, alongside a good knowledge of Microsoft operating system, Android & Windows mobile would be advantageous.
