Scheduling Assistant

Working Pattern: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 8:00pm + occasional Saturdays

Salary: £16,250 per annum rising to £17,000


Our Scheduling department are looking for Scheduling Assistants to join the scheduling team based at our offices in Wigan. You will be scheduling Lowri Beck field engineers work in a cost effective and manageable way, analysing the work that has been given to the engineers, and reallocating/rescheduling work to other engineers (potentially at short notice) to ensure that jobs are covered and missed appointments are prevented


Key Accountabilities

  • Using various systems to schedule work in a cost effective and manageable way, ensuring that engineers have a full day’s work, and work is received by the engineer

  • Reallocating jobs other engineers as required, ensuring that all jobs are covered.

  • Complete checks at various points throughout the day to make sure engineers are running on time for appointments & appointment times are met

  • Compiling daily reports and checking these to ensure all engineers have received work, any extra jobs have been allocated, & sickness and holidays are covered efficiently

  • Liaising with and dealing with queries from engineers, managers, other departments and suppliers


What we are looking for

  • A good standard of education (GCSE’s including English & Maths or equivalent)

  • Computer literate, with the ability to operate Microsoft Office applications & e-mail

  • Excellent organisation, administration & communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative

  • Previous allocation or scheduling experience, experience working within the utility metering industry, and a good understanding of geographical postcodes & areas would be advantageous
