Meter Readers 

 Lowri Beck Services is looking for individuals to join a growing team of Gas & Electric Meter Readers working on behalf of the UK’s leading energy suppliers.

 

We are currently have vacancies in the following postcode areas:

Working out in the field, within your local geographical area you will be required to obtain accurate meter readings and inspect meters at a range of commercial and residential properties.

Your work will be allocated to you via your mobile device and you will enter meter readings and carry out visual inspections of the meters, whilst providing excellent customer service to positively represent our company values.

We will always aim to promote from within and give our staff promotion and progression opportunities, this can be to a range of roles or positions that include:

  • Senior Meter Reader/ Team Leader

  • Business Support Meter reading – Water

  • Gaining additional technical skills in Smart Metering activities and Electric Vehicle charge point surveying.

 

An outline of the job is as follows:

  • Type of role: Permanent, full time with Lowri Beck directly

  • Rate of Pay: £8.91

  • Bonus: You will have the opportunity to earn a weekly bonus on top of your standard pay

       **Close to 40% of Meter Readers are earning £20,000+ (Excluding mileage)**

       **The top 10% of Meter Readers are earning £23,000+ (Excluding mileage)**

  • Holidays: 20 days + 8 bank holidays

  • Mileage: 27p per mile

  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours across Monday – Friday with 2 late shifts per week (Working 10am - 6pm September - April & 12pm-8pm April - September. Overtime opportunities also available.

No meter reading experience is needed as we provide full training and fully expensed, tools, equipment and PPE. What we need from you is the following:

  • A driving licence entitling you to drive in the UK with no more than 6 penalty points.

  • Use of your own vehicle with business insurance & current MOT (if applicable)

  • Excellent customer service skills with a flexible approach to tasks & working hours.

  • Open to working in all weather conditions.
