HR Advisor – Fixed Term Contract
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week / Monday – Friday
Salary: £29,094 per annum
We have an opportunity available for a HR Advisor to join our busy HR department based in Wigan on a temporary 6 month fixed term contract. You will provide timely and accurate advice to the company’s people managers (both remotely & face to face) in line with current employment legislation, company policies, procedures and precedent.
Provide advice and support (which may be face to face, telephone or e-mail) to line managers across a full range of matters including; discipline & grievance, performance, attendance management etc…
Proactively manage employee relations cases to ensure issues are dealt with in a timely manner, promoting and ensuring the use of company policies and procedures.
Maintain employee database with case management information to facilitate accurate management information reporting.
Provide administration support to people managers when producing invitation, outcome, and on occasion, other correspondence.
What we are looking for
Previous experience working within a similar HR advisory role (ideally within a field services industry), dealing with complex cases (including long term sickness) up to and including dismissal.
Excellent working knowledge of current employment legislation
Excellent communication , organization & administration skills
Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a larger HR team
Computer literate with the ability to operate Microsoft Office
