Working Pattern: Permanent / Full-time / 42.5 hours per week

Salary: £33,972 per annum + £4500 Car Allowance


We have an opportunity available for a Field Team Manager to join our Meter Operations Management Team within our ‘North’ meter installation region.


You will support the area Operations Manager with effective management of a team of field-based employees in the North region, specifically around the central areas of the M62 and above.


You will help to ensure that the region operates viably and in line with the company’s business objectives, by closely monitoring the performance & quality of work, providing guidance and training to the workforce.


Key Accountabilities

  • Work collaboratively as part of the Lowri Beck meter operations management team.

  • Assist the area Operations manager to develop the strategy and long-term planning of area operations.

  • Maximise performance levels of all operations within the region.

  • Own & deliver performance management within your team.

  • Own & deliver team performance in relation to company KPIs within your area.

  • Motivate & engage your team to build a culture of mutual trust in a safe working environment.

  • Own and deliver all quality and compliance checks on meter operatives.

  • Own the recruitment targets of staff.

  • Own & deliver coaching, mentoring and development of the team.

  • Own performance & improvement for own area and delivers in line with budget.

  • Own all disciplinary and capability procedures & compliance within the team.

  • Supports peers and area Operations Manager to achieve all operational KPIs.

  • Promotes safety culture within Lowri Beck and ensures compliance with the requirements of the health and safety at work act.

  • Own and deliver Lowri Beck policies and procedures.

  • Effective issue/return, security and maintenance of company equipment, corporate clothing, and PPE.

  • Deputises for the area Operations manager when the requirement arises.

  • Work in collaboration with the other area teams and other business partners.

  • Any ad hoc duties as requested by the area Operations Managers or company leadership team.


What we are looking for

  • Good standard of education (e.g., GCSE/A-Level).

  • Driving Licence entitling you to drive in the UK with a maximum of 3 points.

  • 2 years of managerial experience within the utility metering industry.

  • Good understanding of health & safety relative to the utility metering industry.

  • Computer literate with ability to operate Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and virtually (e.g., via Microsoft Teams), with a supportive approach to colleagues.

  • Ability to work in accordance with procedures.

  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a service provision environment.

  • Must live within a central M62 location and be flexible when it comes to staying away from home when required due to the size of the region.
