Electrical Trainer/Assessor

Working Pattern: Permanent/Full-time/37.5hours per week/Monday – Friday

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

 

We have an opportunity available for an Experienced Electrical Trainer to join our training centre based at Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, conducting & evaluating electrical training programmes, including writing the literature, materials & exercises to be used within training programmes to enhance trainees learning.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and conduct technical training programs

  • Assess training needs and certification requirements

  • Deploy training to targeted personnel

  • Prepare scheme of work and lesson plans.

  • Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).

  • Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills.

  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.

  • Assess candidates to Awarding Organisation standards.

  • Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management Systems.

  • Ensure the readiness of all course materials and equipment prior to delivery

  • Ensure appropriate records and systems are maintained

  • Record all assessment information and give feedback to candidates, share relevant information with other managers regarding candidate progress and barriers to progression.

  • Promotes safety culture within Lowri Beck and ensures compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Meter Operators Code of Practice Agreement.

  • Promotes Lowri Beck policies and procedures.

  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by your manager and the Directors of the Company

 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Full Level 3 Electrical qualification or 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate (or equivalent), with previous experience of inspection

  • A PTLLS / assessor / IQA qualifications (or equivalent)

  • An Electrical Vehicle Installation Certificate would be advantageous

  • Previous experience working as a trainer, with

  • An understanding of the utility industry

  • Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Office and email
