Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week / Monday – Friday

Salary: £21,000 per annum

                                 

We have an opportunity available for a Team Leader to join our Data Services department based in Wigan. You will support the Senior Team Leader in the day to day running of the team, providing a high quality & professional service through the effective management of staff, systems & procedures within the department.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Distribute work to the department sub teams as required.

  • Monitor the day to day performance and quality of individual department sub team functions.

  • Provide support and supervision to staff including regular one to one meetings.

  • Training of new and existing staff, via one to one or group training programmes. 

  • Support the Senior Team Leader with the monitoring of staff in relation to their progress and performance, along with ensuring targets are being met.

  • Liaise with supplier contacts as an escalation point.

  • Communicate industry and department changes to staff through regular team meetings.

  • Collaborate with the Application and Business Support Teams assisting in continuous improvement and change management.

  • Formulate, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance is maintained in relation to industry and company best practices.

  • Ensure quality data handling techniques are established and adhered to.

  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to (e.g. Information Security, Absence Policy etc.).

 

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team, with proven problem solving & analysis skills.

  • Competent IT skills, including an ability to manipulate data in a range of applications, & adapt quickly to new software.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & organisation skills

  • Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines & work under pressure

  • Previous team leadership/management/supervision experience within the utility metering industry would be beneficial
