Working Pattern: 12-month fixed term contract, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary: Competitive, to be discussed dependent on experience and qualifications

 

We are currently looking for a Regulation Manager to join our Manchester office (Calvin Capital).

 

The Regulation Manager will contribute to the company’s business objectives by:

  • Being responsible for the management of relationship with industry and regulatory bodies

  • Being responsible for interaction with and lobbying of regulatory bodies

  • Being responsible for consultation responses on behalf of Calisen group of companies

  • Identifying potential regulatory and industry risks and feeding these into the risk management process.

  • Monitoring delivery of the Smart Metering Implementation Programme (SMIP), Joint Industry Plan (JIP) and Electric Vehicle (EV).

  • Being an active member of all industry meetings

  • Contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of company policies and procedures

  • Supporting the Calisen team members

  • Provide regular internal update reports to the board and leadership team

  • Provide input to the company’s strategy

  • Support development of other team members towards the regulatory matters

 

What we are looking for

  • Qualified to a master’s or degree standard in management, politics, or economics.

  • Excellent understanding of the UK energy market, ideally from a Meter Asset Provider (MAP) perspective.

  • Knowledge of and ideally experience of interaction with DCC, BEIS, Smart Energy UK

  • Employment experience the Energy Industry or UK Government preferred

  • Experience within a management role

  • Experience in developing and maintaining policies and procedures

  • Understanding and experience of Risk Management measurement and reporting
