The Operations function are continuing to make positive strides in making their fleet become more eco-friendly. As fuel emissions continue to rise, we feel it is important to do our bit to reduce our carbon footprint. Back in February, the Data Retrieval team trialled an electric van. Mick Wilce, a loyal meter reader who has worked for Lowri Beck for over 18 years, was the first to trial this van in the field. Now, Mick has been given a new electric vehicle – the Renault Zoe.
The Renault Zoe is 100% electric, which means it is a zero-emissions vehicle. The car has been named the ‘Best Small Electric Car 2021’ by Parkers and CarBuyer. Alongside Mick, Ian Davies, Jason Broomhall, and Colin Hooper will also be given the Renault Zoe to use for their work duties. The electric cars are an amazing addition to our Data Retrieval fleet, and we are looking forward to having more EV additions in the future.
